Get Prepped for Summer with MOR Seasonal Programs

The Marlins of Raleigh coaching staff will be offering several seasonal programs in the months ahead which are perfect for preparing swimmers for the summer swim season.

WINTER SWIM LEAGUE

The Winter Swim League (WSL) begins at your choice of indoor Millbrook pool or St. Mary's School pool on January 15, 2013.  The WSL is for both novice and experienced swimmers between age 6-13.  The WSL group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays for eleven (11) weeks and concludes on March 28, 2013.  The coaches will instruct swimmers using skill drills and basic technique on each of the four competitive strokes, including starts and turns.  The cost of the program is just $200 per athlete and must be paid with the application which is available at www.marlinsofraleigh.com.  Every participant receives a t-shirt and swim cap for attending. This program fills quickly so interested swimmers should act fast!

AGE GROUP TEAM

The AG1 program at MOR for swimmers wishing to compete has been broken into three sessions.  The next session begins March 1, 2013 and goes through the end of May.  For swimmers age 6-10 this is a great jumping on point to competitive swim team.  The AG1 group meets three (3) times each week.  The team application is available on the MOR website at www.marlinsofraleigh.com.  Competitive racing techniques are taught using age-appropriate methods and in a group setting.

MOR IN MAY - SPRING CLINIC

The MOR in MAY Spring Clinic will start around April 20 and offers three weeks of indoor swimming instruction leading up to the summer swim season.  The application for MOR IN MAY will be available in mid-January on the MOR website.  The MOR in MAY Spring Clinic is open to all ages and is run at Ravenscroft School in North Raleigh and St. Mary's School in downtown Raleigh.  Both sites offer great reviews of swim skills for athletes getting ready for the TSA swim team programs.

If you have any questions about any of the above programs, please give our office a call at 919-851-3000.  If there are any summer league coaches who would like to assist with the MOR in MAY program, we are always interested in speaking with additional coaching candidates.
