Clinics Schedule

Why do we have mandatory attendance for clinics? The purpose of the clinics is to provide a consistent training and competition experience for TSA's 10,000+ swimmers. We ask for each club's cooperation and commitment in maintaining this standard and keeping TSA a strong summer league.

Online Stroke and Turn Course

The online course offered by www.strokeandturn.com is an alternative method of obtaining stroke and turn certification for the TSA summer league. There is a $25.00 fee for this course. TSA offers this as an alternative for those who cannot attend a clinic. If you obtain certification via this course, it is your responsibility to know the differences between what they teach online and our TSA league rules (yes, there are some slight differences).

Please note that the Clinics Committee does not recommend that a person without any prior stroke and turn judging experience use this online course to achieve their first certification. We also recommend that first-time Stroke and Turn Judges and first-time Starters find a mentor on their team or a nearby one.

Stroke and Turn judges who do not hold a certification from USA Swimming, the NCHSAA, the NCAA or the YMCA must re-certify every year. Officials who have been certified by one of those outside organizations need only to email a copy of their credentials to the TSA Vice President before the start of each TSA season.

Additional Online Training for Coaches

It is mandatory that each team send its coaches to a TSA Coaches' Clinic every year. However, individual clubs may also wish to supplement their staff's training with the American Swimming Coaches Association's online course specifically created for summer league coaches,
