RSA Clinics Starting Soon!


                         
RSA in MAYpril seasonal clinics are designed for children, ages four to fourteen, who are interested in summer league swimming.  Offered on weekdays and weekends, the clinics feature one hour classes and focus on skills needed for summer swimming success.  Led by RSA’s professional swim team coaches, the curriculum includes instruction in stroke technique, starts, turns and finishes, as well as reinforcement drills. 
Clinics are held at RSA’s Sonner Aquatic Facility located at 1013 Jones Franklin Road in Raleigh, NC.  Clinics include:
Weekday Firefish: Tuesdays and Thursdays: 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm

Session 1:      4/03/18-4/19/18; 6 classes: $150.00
Session 2:      5/01/18-5/17/18; 6 classes: $150.00

Weekday Wahoo: Tuesdays OR Thursdays: 7:30 pm

Tuesdays:      4/10/18-5/01/18; 4 classes: $99.00
Thursdays:     5/03/18-5/24/18; 4 classes: $99.00

Weekend Firefish: Saturdays OR Sundays 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm

Saturdays:      4/21/18-5/19/18; *4 classes: $99.00

The Firefish clinics for four to six year olds are taught in RSA’s warm water instructional pool with in-water and on-deck coaches.  Firefish curriculum focuses on the elements of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, with an emphasis on FUN.  Participants do not have to be able to swim 25 yards unassisted, but must be comfortable in the water. 
The Wahoo clinics for seven to fourteen year olds are taught in a six-lane lap pool with in-water and on deck coaches.  Wahoo curriculum focuses on the four strokes, (Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Freestyle), as well as starts, turns, finishes and drills.  Participants must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted.

Raleigh Racquet Club - Head Swim Coach

·         The Head Swim Coach position is a part-time, summer seasonal position beginning May 29th till July 19th.
·         The Head Coach will be expected to manage the coaching and supervision of weekly practice sessions and organize swimmers for the 6 weekly meets.   The Head Coach will be supported in these efforts by two assistant coaches, the RRC Club Manager and the Parent Committee. 
·         This position serves as a motivational figure who inspires high morale, encourages recruitment of new members, builds team cohesiveness, communicates effectively and provides positive
reinforcement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to the following:
Managing and Coaching Practices:
● Prepare and coach practices
● Supervise assistant coaching staff (currently two), including organizing and overseeing the practices as well as a coaching schedule and ensuring that the weekly practices are staffed appropriately.  If needed recruit parent volunteers for additional support
● Prepare workouts in advance taking into account varying skill levels of the swimmers and receive feedback from the swimmers, assistant coaches, and Aquatics Manager to make adjustments as needed to ensure workouts are clearly communicated to the swimmers by the coaching staff
● Ensure all practice changes, pool closures, upcoming activities, and competitions are communicated to swimmers and parents by email and at practices
● Foster a welcoming environment for new swimmers with the goal of retaining swimmers to continue to build or maintain the program numbers
● Encourage team participation and provide swimmer feedback
● Enforce the posted pool rules and regulations – maintain a safe environment
● Other duties as required
Minimum requirements and qualifications include:
● Competitive swimming experience and strong knowledge of stroke-mechanics
● Demonstrated experience of effectively coaching both competitive and recreational
swimmers
● Maintain professional demeanor, provide leadership, and exhibit a positive, teambuilding attitude
● Physical demands include the ability to instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques, lift and move light equipment, and participate in the water
● Prefer21 years of age.- College Students with experience will be considered
•Previous swim team coaching experience

Raleigh Racquet Club - Assistant Swim Coach 2017
·         The Assistant Swim Coach (ASC) position is a part-time, seasonal position beginning May 29th till July 19th.
·         The ASC will be expected to assist in the coaching and supervision of weekly practice sessions and organize swimmers for the 6 weekly meets.   The ASC will be supervised by the Head Coach

Come Coach at Renaissance Park!



The Ren Park Rays are seeking energetic Head and Assistant Swim Coaches for the upcoming summer swim season.  Our neighborhood, Renaissance Park, is located near downtown Raleigh at the corner of Tryon & 401.  We are a relatively small and developing team with supportive and involved parents, a beautiful pool with practice/meet equipment, and about 40-50 eager youth swimmers.   

The season is 8 weeks longs, running from May 29th to July 21st.   Coaching will require approximately 12-15 hours each week at late afternoon/early evening practices on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; some Saturday morning clinics; 6 dual meets on Tuesday evenings; and the Championship meet.

Crooked Creek Crocs Hiring Coaches

The Crooked Creek Crocs, a community pool located in Fuquay-Varina, are hiring coaches for the 2018 summer season. The Crocs are seeking applicants for both Head Coach and Assistant Coach.

The primary goal of the Crooked Creek Crocs is to offer a fun and competitive summer swim program to the youth of the Crooked Creek Community. The coaches' key objectives are to aid swimmers in mastering strokes, setting and achieving goals, practicing good sportsmanship, and developing confidence through swimming.

The positions run from the beginning of May through July. The work schedule will vary, including weekday morning and evening practices and 8 meets throughout the season (includes mock meet and championship meet).

Duties include, but are not limited to, developing seasonal goals, workouts, creating meet lineups, coaching throughout swim meets, data entry, assisting with set up and tear down of meets, and keeping records and reports, as necessary.

The Scott's Mill Sea Dragons are Seeking Energetic, Enthusiastic Coaches for Summer 2018!

Coaches Responsibilities- Participate in all aspects of a summer youth swim program. Work closely with the swim team board members and other coaches to ensure a smooth, fun season by providing swimming instruction, coaching and team building exercises for children age 3-18.


Swim instruction includes teaching, demonstration and leading practice in the four swimming strokes as well as teaching of proper technique for turns, starts, and relay execution.


Coaches will be required to attend the following events:
    1. Daily Practices
    2. Meet the Coach Event
    3. Splash Night
    4. Durham Bulls Swim night
    5. End of Season Banquet
    6. Championship meet like Cary City Meet
    7. Other events as deemed necessary by the board


Lead, direct, and manage the Junior coaches, during practices and at meets.  Coach and develop them to improve their coaching & mentoring skills.

The Lake Park Blue Marlins are seeking swim team coaches for summer 2018

The primary goal of the Lake Park Blue Marlins (LPK) is to offer a fun and competitive summer swim program to the youth of the LPK Community. The Coaches’ key objectives are to aid swimmers in mastering strokes, setting and achieving goals, practicing good sportsmanship and developing confidence through swimming.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist in directing the summer swim team for the LPK Marlins. Position runs from the beginning of May through the end of July.  Work schedule will vary, including weekday morning and evening and Saturday morning practices, as well as eight (8) swim meets throughout the season (including the championship meet).

ABBINGTON ALLIGATORS - SEEKING Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the 2021 swim season



Abbington Alligators Swim Team - TSA 2019 Division 3 Champions
The Abbington Alligators Swim Team is seeking a professional, dedicated Head Coach and dedicated Assistant Coach for the 2018 summer season.  Having first fielded a team in 1999, Abbington has grown from a team of 50 swimmers to around 145 swimmers ages 4-18 years old.  As we enter our 21st  year, we are looking towards another great season. We desire coaches who will motivate and teach swimmers while maintaining a fun and exciting team and family atmosphere.  Our swim season runs from Mid May through late July.  We provide very competitive pay for our coaches.

Duties will include, but are not limited to: day-to-day team management, development and supervision of age group appropriate workouts, assisting in preparing and submitting meet entries, attending swim team planning/parent meetings. 

The ideal candidate should have the following: 

Head Coach
-       Must be over 18 years of age
-       Preferred swimming at college level - Competitive or Club
-       Two or more seasons of swim coach experience at a rec level is preferable
-       Ability to demonstrate good sportsmanship for teaching and motivating young 
                swimmers
-       Enjoy working with swimmers of all ages including pre-competitive and competitive level  swimmers
-       Ability to teach proper stroke technique
-       Ability to manage Junior and Assistant Coaches
-       Ability to work with other coaches to develop swim meet line-ups
-       Must have access to e-mail and text
-       Experience and proficient of Hy-Tek Meet Manager software is preferred
-       Strong communication and organizational skills 
-       Must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and Certified Water Safety Instructor

Cary Park Sea Dragons Seeking Summer 2018 Head Coach
Cary Park Sea Dragons in Cary, NC is looking for energetic and skilled Head Coach for Summer 2018 to help lead our community summer swim team!  If you have a love for children and have swimming or coaching experience, or know someone who does, we welcome you to send your resume to us for consideration.  Summer 2018 will start mid-May through the end of July. Coaches lead morning and afternoon practices M-Th and morning practices F&Sat. The season includes 6 dual meets on Tuesday evenings as well as 1 to 2 end-of-season meets on Saturday & Sunday.  Coaches are expected to swim in coaches relays at the meets, and if age-eligible (age 18 or younger), are strongly encouraged to join Cary Park Swim Club and swim for Cary Park during meets.
