The Charleston Village Crocodiles Swim Team is seeking applicants for head coach and assistant coach for the 2024 summer swim season. Our team of 90 kids will be starting their 17th season this summer
Essential Job Functions (both position unless indicated):
Work with swimmers from 4-18 to develop their knowledge of competitive swimming
Establish leveled practice schedules and workouts
HEAD COACH: Lead assistant coach and junior coaches by providing direction, expectations, and roles during practice and meets.
ASSISTANT COACH: Assist head coach in communicating and directing junior coaches.
Create a good rapport with the swimmers and parents
Provide informative feedback to swimmers
Collaborate with the CVC board
Encourage participation in meets
Help swimmers build confidence in their strokes
Provide a fun and positive environment for the swimmers and their families
Requirements (both positions):
Knowledge of the four basic strokes (free, breast, back and butterfly)
Ability to teach techniques to improve swimmers, skills
Must be available for the season May-July
Experience in coaching preferred
Head Coach must be 17 years or older
Must be available for practice. Tentative practice schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 4:30pm to 8:15pm, and Saturday Morning from 8:45 am to 9:30 am.
Must be available for meets on Tuesday evenings beginning at 4 pm.
