Swim Team insurance?

Our HOA is recommending that the team carry an accident and health policy with a $25,000 limit in addition to the insurance carried by the neighborhood. What do other teams do on this issue? Also do any pools require signed waivers and release forms from visiting teams? Thanks for the advice. Cris

MOR IN MAY Accepting Participants Now

The annual MOR in MAY swim clinic will be held April 26-May 15, 2010 in three locations--Ravenscroft School in North Raleigh, St. Mary's School in Central Raleigh and Riverwood Golf & Athletic Club in Clayton. The swim clinic is run by coaches from the Marlins of Raleigh and is a great refresher for those summer swimmers who may not have been in a pool that often during the winter months. The 3-week clinic is offered three days each week. Complete information is available on the MOR swim team website at www.marlinsofraleigh.com. The clinic cost is $90 per student for nine one-hour classes. The clinic generally fills quickly, so please be sure to mail in the application prior to April 9, 2010.

Agenda for tomorrow's Board of Directors meeting

Greetings TSAers,

Don’t forget that the next Board of Directors meeting is tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 7:00 at University Club (on Hillsborough Street between the State Fairgrounds and the Beltline). Please be punctual, as we have a very full agenda and only a limited amount of time.

As always, I highly encourage everyone to print their own copy of the meeting agenda to bring with them. You might also want to print copies of the meeting minutes from January, as well as the ones from May, which Debra Ryan astutely pointed out have not yet been approved.

See you all then.

NC State Camps - Coming This Summer!!

Hi there TSA

I'm writing to notify you all that NC State is in the process of setting up swim camps for the summer of 2010 and we want as many TSA Summer leaguers as possible to get involved!!

We are in the final stages of planning and have a great team of both coaches and swimmers that will run the day long events. The camps will last an entire day (9am-5pm) and focus on technique, fun, and lots of interaction with the college team

Right now we are looking for feedback from all TSA reps in relation to how interested you may be in becoming involved. The dates are being finalized but they will all be held on Saturdays during the course of the summer season.

With this blog we hope to learn more from you all about the liklihood of your team getting involved. We intend to have both individual pricing and group pricing (groups of 25 or more swimmers with more savings the more swimmers you have after that) which could provide a good way of saving money for your team if you have a large interest

So like I said, please state your interest in this great opportunity. Let us know who you are, which team you are from, and any information you would like.

Watch this space as we finalize all the little details and get the camps up and running
