HEAD COACH JOB POSITION - SUNSET RIDGE BARRACUDAS

 The Sunset Ridge Barracudas Swim Team program is seeking one experienced Head Coach for the 2022 swim season.  

The Sunset Ridge Barracudas are a well-established team located Holly Springs, NC.  We are looking for a high-energy, motivated individual to lead approximately 300 swimmers of all ability levels in our developmental and competitive summer swim league, as well as coordinate and manage our assistant and junior coaches.  


The ideal candidate would have head coaching experience, strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to connect with children from grades K-12, and an infectious enthusiasm for the sport of swimming. The candidate will work closely with Board members and junior coaching staff to carry out the many day-to-day responsibilities of the coaching staff.


The responsibilities of the job include:

  • Promote a fun, safe, and team-oriented environment.
  • Be a role model for the swimmers.
  • Identify age- and skill-appropriate drills for each age group to include stroke, starts, turns, etc…
  • Plan and run practices for each age group.
  • Maintain control and safety of swimmers.
  • Provide stroke technique instruction to beginning, intermediate, and advanced swimmers.
  • Coordinate logistics for each swim meet for swimmers and parents.
  • Prepare meet lineups.
  • Review meet results (including disqualification issues) and work with swimmers to improve performance.
  • Work with the Board to organize and attend various team-sponsored social activities.
  • Provide an encouraging environment while fostering learning and team spirit.
  • Willingness to get in the water to fine tune stroke mechanics.
  • Direction to assistant and junior coaching staff (as needed), and managing staff throughout the season.

Required Qualifications:


  • Experience as a head coach, or experience as an Assistant Coach.
  • Valid CPR/AED, First-Aid certification.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communications skills (for children and parents).

Cecil L Williamson TSA Educational Grant Winners

The TSA Board of Directors is pleased to be able to award the Cecil L Williamson TSA Educational grants.  On Friday (7/23/21), TSA President Tracey Mizell and TSA Secretary Jenny Smith drew 25 names from the final list of eligible TSA graduating seniors for the Cecil L Williamson TSA Educational Grant. 

The list of winners is below.  Each winner will receive an Educational Grant in the amount of $400.  These checks will be mailed to the address on record for each swimmer when their application was entered.

Banbury Woods/Hunters Landing TSA summer league swim team is looking for a head coach.

 Banbury Woods/Hunters Landing TSA summer league swim team is looking for a head coach. 


Our team has 75-80 swimmers, ages 4-18 for the mid-May through mid-July season. Our afternoon practices are from 4-7:30pm Monday-Friday. We are in search of an experienced, mature coach capable of teaching new swimmers all four strokes, dives and competitive turns, and tweaking the technique of our seasoned swimmers. This candidate must also teach the importance of good sportsmanship, team spirit, and community. We have assistant teen coaches at each practice.

Abbington Alligators Swim Team - TSA 2019 Division 3 Champions
The Abbington Alligators Swim Team is seeking a professional, dedicated Head Coach and dedicated Assistant Coach for the 2021 summer season.  Having first fielded a team in 1999, Abbington has grown from a team of 50 swimmers to around 145 swimmers ages 4-18 years old.  As we enter our 21st  year, we are looking towards another great season. We desire coaches who will motivate and teach swimmers while maintaining a fun and exciting team and family atmosphere.  Our swim season runs from Mid May through late July.  We provide very competitive pay for our coaches.

Duties will include, but are not limited to: day-to-day team management, development and supervision of age group appropriate workouts, assisting in preparing and submitting meet entries, attending swim team planning/parent meetings. 

The ideal candidate should have the following: 

Head Coach
-       Must be over 18 years of age
-       Preferred swimming at college level - Competitive or Club
-       Two or more seasons of swim coach experience at a rec level is preferable
-       Ability to demonstrate good sportsmanship for teaching and motivating young 
                swimmers
-       Enjoy working with swimmers of all ages including pre-competitive and competitive level  swimmers
-       Ability to teach proper stroke technique
-       Ability to manage Junior and Assistant Coaches
-       Ability to work with other coaches to develop swim meet line-ups
-       Must have access to e-mail and text
-       Experience and proficient of Hy-Tek Meet Manager software is preferred
-       Strong communication and organizational skills 
-       Must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and Certified Water Safety Instructor
-       Knowledge of TSA rules and regulations

Assistant Coach
-       Preferred swimming at college level - Competitive or Club
-       Coaching experience preferred
-       Ability to demonstrate good sportsmanship for teaching and motivating young swimmers

The Oxxford Hunt Swim Team is hiring for Head Coach and Assistant Coaching positions for Summer 2021.

The Oxxford Hunt Swim Team has open Head Coach and Assistant Coaching positions for the upcoming Summer 2021 swim season! Our Head Coach will lead the coaching staff and our approximately 115 swimmers with enthusiasm and positivity while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork. As a closely knit neighborhood team it is imperative the coaching staff works to help every Oxxford Hunt swimmer feel important by providing quality instruction and encouragement. The Head Coach will work closely with 1-2 Assistant Coaches to develop and execute practice/training sessions that will support individual swimmer and team goals and improvement. The season begins mid-May with daily (Monday-Friday) practices and runs through mid-July. Coaches must be available for afternoon practices the entire season and morning practices in June and July.
