Full featured swim team management site for your team!

TSTM is a swim team management web site specifically built for TSA swim teams. It has been in service for 9 years.  Last year, 20 TSA teams used the site to manage their teams.

Raleigh Racquet Club - Head Swim Coach

·         The Head Swim Coach position is a part-time, summer seasonal position beginning May 29th till July 19th.
·         The Head Coach will be expected to manage the coaching and supervision of weekly practice sessions and organize swimmers for the 6 weekly meets.   The Head Coach will be supported in these efforts by two assistant coaches, the RRC Club Manager and the Parent Committee. 
·         This position serves as a motivational figure who inspires high morale, encourages recruitment of new members, builds team cohesiveness, communicates effectively and provides positive
reinforcement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to the following:
Managing and Coaching Practices:
● Prepare and coach practices
● Supervise assistant coaching staff (currently two), including organizing and overseeing the practices as well as a coaching schedule and ensuring that the weekly practices are staffed appropriately.  If needed recruit parent volunteers for additional support
● Prepare workouts in advance taking into account varying skill levels of the swimmers and receive feedback from the swimmers, assistant coaches, and Aquatics Manager to make adjustments as needed to ensure workouts are clearly communicated to the swimmers by the coaching staff
● Ensure all practice changes, pool closures, upcoming activities, and competitions are communicated to swimmers and parents by email and at practices
● Foster a welcoming environment for new swimmers with the goal of retaining swimmers to continue to build or maintain the program numbers
● Encourage team participation and provide swimmer feedback
● Enforce the posted pool rules and regulations – maintain a safe environment
● Other duties as required
Minimum requirements and qualifications include:
● Competitive swimming experience and strong knowledge of stroke-mechanics
● Demonstrated experience of effectively coaching both competitive and recreational
swimmers
● Maintain professional demeanor, provide leadership, and exhibit a positive, teambuilding attitude
● Physical demands include the ability to instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques, lift and move light equipment, and participate in the water
● Prefer21 years of age.- College Students with experience will be considered
•Previous swim team coaching experience

·         The Assistant Swim Coach (ASC) position is a part-time, seasonal position beginning May 29th till July 19th.
·         The ASC will be expected to assist in the coaching and supervision of weekly practice sessions and organize swimmers for the 6 weekly meets.   The ASC will be supervised by the Head Coach
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to the following:
● Coach weekly practices and manage swim meets – evening practices 1.5 hours M, W, Th, F, meets Tu 4 hours
● Prepare workouts in advance taking into account varying skill levels of the swimmers and receive feedback from the swimmers, head  coaches, and club manager to make adjustments as needed to ensure workouts are clearly communicated to the swimmers by the coaching staff
● Ensure all practice changes, pool closures, upcoming activities, volunteer duties and competitions are communicated to swimmers and parents
·         Plan end of season award banquet
● Encourage team participation and provide swimmer feedback
● Enforce the posted pool rules and regulations – maintain a safe environment
● Other duties as required

Come Coach at Renaissance Park!



The Ren Park Rays are seeking energetic Head and Assistant Swim Coaches for the upcoming summer swim season.  Our neighborhood, Renaissance Park, is located near downtown Raleigh at the corner of Tryon & 401.  We are a relatively small and developing team with supportive and involved parents, a beautiful pool with practice/meet equipment, and about 40-50 eager youth swimmers.   

The season is 8 weeks longs, running from May 29th to July 21st.   Coaching will require approximately 12-15 hours each week at late afternoon/early evening practices on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; some Saturday morning clinics; 6 dual meets on Tuesday evenings; and the Championship meet.

The Weekday and Weekend Wahoo Clinics, led by Dan Kalupski…RSA Coach, NC State Assistant Coach and former Head Assistant Coach at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)…are designed to develop technique for summer success for 7-14 year olds:
q   Teach fundamentals of the four strokes
q   Introduce and master flip turns
q   Develop underwaters and streamlines                
q   Fine-tune racing starts
