Coaching Positions Available for Kitts Creek Killer Whales

Kitts Creek is a fun, vibrant community located in Morrisville. We are excited to participate as a full-fledged TSA league team this year, and we are in need of some great coaches. Our team looks to be close to 60 swimmers this year, and we are searching for a head coach and two assistants who can run practices beginning from late May through late July.  Must be able to teach stroke and turn fundamentals as well as racing preparedness while maintaining a fun, high-spirited, team-oriented environment. Medfield Head Coach position available



MARC SHARKS HIRING HEAD COACH FOR 2013

The MARC Sharks are looking to hire an enthusiastic, organized individual with proficiency in stroke mechanics, the ability to motivate swimmers of all ages and skill levels, and strong communication skills with parents and swimmers. The Sharks are a approximately 100 member, TSA South League team (Division 7 Champs for 2012) of swimmers age 4 to 18 that is run by an enthusiastic and supportive group of parent volunteers.
Duties include, but are not limited to: day-to-day team management, development and supervision of age group appropriate workouts, assisting in preparing and submitting meet entries, attending swim team planning/parent meetings.
The positions are part-time from mid-May through the third week in July. Coach must be available weekday mornings and evenings for practices, Saturday mornings for practices, All day Tuesday for swim meets, and occasional weekend days for invitational swim meets.
The ideal candidate will have prior swim team coaching experience, competitive swim team experience, and be proficient with preparing for meets. Knowledge of TSA rules and regulations is helpful.

Schedule:

Coaches’ Orientation (2 hours) - date to be scheduled
Ice cream Social/New Family Orientation (3 hours) - mid May on Sun. afternoon, date TBD
Weekday (afternoon) Practice (4 days a week- 3 hours) - begins Monday, mid-May, date TBD
Saturday Practice (2.5 hours) - begins Saturday, mid-May, date TBD
Time Trials (3-4 hours) - Saturday morning, date TBD
Weekday (morning) Practice (3 days a week- 3 hours) - begins 6/10
Meet Days (6- Tuesdays) planning & meet (13 hours) - begins 6/4
Invitational Meet (Saturday- 5 or more hours) - date TBD

Pay Rates (start at):
Head Coach $12.00/hour
Pay Schedule is bi-weekly beginning at the end of the 3rd week of employment.
Coach will receive a 1099 MISC form showing total contracted earnings for the year.  The individual will be responsible to pay the required federal and state taxes based on that amount.

Haddon Hall Hammerheads Accepting Coaching Applications

The Haddon Hall Hammerheads swim team of Apex is now accepting coaching applications for the 2013 season. If you would like to be considered, please email Jennifer Covington

Our season goes from mid May to late July. Our practices are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (morning and afternoon), with meets on Tuesday evenings. We desire a coach who will motivate and teach swimmers while maintaining a fun team atomosphere for swimmers and families.

Requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • Two or more seasons of swim coach experience is preferable
  • The ability to demonstrate energy and enthusiasm for teaching and motivating young swimmers
  • A passion about teaching proper stroke technique and sportsmanship
  • The ability to work with coaches to develop swim meet lineups
  • Access to email daily
  • Must be certified in First Aid and CPR

Crooked Creek Crocs (Fuquay) Hiring Head Coach and Assistant Coach for 2013

The primary goal of the Crooked Creek Crocs is to offer a fun and competitive summer swim program to the youth of the Crooked Creek Community. The Coaches’ key objectives are to aid swimmers in mastering strokes, setting and achieving goals, practicing good sportsmanship and developing confidence through swimming. 

HEAD COACH JOB DESCRIPTION: Direct Summer swim team for the Crooked Creek Crocs. Position runs from the beginning of May through the end of July.  Work schedule will vary, including weekday morning and evening and Saturday morning practices, as well as eight (8) swim meets throughout the season (including the championship meet).

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Active participation throughout the swim season.
  • Willingness to obtain necessary safety and sport related certifications as required.
  • Leading swimmers through all aspects of the competitive swimming, including skill development, endurance training, starts, flip turns and relay exchanges.
  • Inspiring swimmers to enjoy the sport of swimming. 
  • Fostering team spirit and good sportsmanship.
  • Preparation of facilities and organization of swimmers for practices and meets.
  • Participation throughout entire swim meet, including set up, warm-ups, practice starts, all events, take down etc.
  • Preparation of meet rosters and relay assignments to balance fair participation and competitive strategy.
  • Assisting in the hiring and supervision of the assistant coach.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate
  • Competitive swimming experience
  • Prior coaching experience
  • Experience working with children, at all levels
  • Willingness to participate in background check
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • CPR and First Aid or equivalent training required.
  • American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor preferred.
  • Experience with Hy-Tek Meet Manager preferred. Must be willing to learn.


ASSISTANT COACH JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of running the swim team. The season runs from the beginning of May through the end of July. Scheduling may vary, including weekday morning and evening practices; Saturday morning practice; and 8 meets (including the championship meet).

  • Engaging parents and cultivating relationships to create a collaborative swim team environment.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by the head coach.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school graduate
  • Competitive swimming experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Interest in and ability to work with children at all age levels
  • Display a positive and encouraging attitude during swim practice
  • American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, lifeguard training, CPR and First Aid or equivalent training preferred
  • Coaching experience preferred
  • Willingness to participate in background check
