Pool Manager - The Club at 12 Oaks

General Description
A Pool Manager employed with The Club at 12 Oaks is responsible for the efficient and effective
operation of the pool facility. This position is also responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of
those using the club’s swimming pool. This position is under the direct supervision of the General Manager. The Pool Manager is responsible for following and carrying out all of the workplace expectations and polices of The Club at 12 Oaks. This position is also required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. The pool facility is open seven days per week weather permitting.
Duties:
  • To supervise the activities of pool staff and swimmers by enforcing rules and regulations;
  • Interview, hire, train, schedule and supervise all pool staff;
  • To warn swimmers of improper activities or hazards;
  • To rescue persons in distress or in danger of drowning when indicated and provide rescue breathing, CPR, and First Aid;
  • To notify the General Manager of any accidents, rescues, or problems that have arisen;
  • Perform duties of a lifeguard;
  • To successfully and positively perform within work team dynamics;
  • Adherence to The Club at 12 Oaks Expectations encompassing communication, working relations, job reliability and initiative, safety, accomplishment of work tasks, and supervision;
  • Maintain and complete accurate records of pool operations, including time sheets, daily
  • reports, accidents, incidents, attendance, finances, and required records for Health Department;
  • Plan and schedule in service training for lifeguards including first aid skills, facility maintenance, emergency procedures and other applicable information;
  • Assist members and guests in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Interpret all laws, ordinance, rules and regulations regarding the health and safety of all persons using the facility;
  • Any other additional duty required by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Currently certified with Red Cross Lifeguard Training
  • Current Red Cross or First Aid and CPR/FPR cards
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous managerial experience preferred
