The Carlyle Chatsworth Lakers Swim Team in North Raleigh is seeking a Head Coach for our 2015 summer season.
Ours is a small team made up of mostly recreational swimmers, and a lot of younger swimmers. The Head Coach will need to be energetic, ready to get in the water and swim with the kids to demonstrate proper form and technique and most importantly, always be looking for ways to motivate and inspire all swimmers to perform to their best abilities.
It will be a rebuilding year for us as we have sadly lost some of our older and more seasoned swimmers to aging out and moving out! Now is the time to start with a whole new group of new swimmers and create a love of the sport that will hopefully lead to many more years of competitive participation for our team. Personal performance and building strong team support is valued above meet results and the perfect Head Coach candidate will be the one who is ever optimistic and undaunted by shuffling of schedules and lineups to accommodate the myriad of commitments of our families, many of whom will only be participating on a part time basis.
Weekday practices are held each afternoon and there is definitely the possibility for additional private lessons.
The ideal candidate will be a certified lifeguard with training in CPR and First Aid. Experience in a head coaching or assistant coaching role in the TSA system is highly desired.
Salary will reflect experience.
