The Lakemont Swim and Tennis Club in Midtown Raleigh near North Hills is hiring a co-head or assistant swim coach for the summer swim season. This coach will be responsible for helping with all of the facets of the summer swim team and overall operation of the Lakemont Torpedoes. Position runs from mid May to end of July. Work schedule will include daily morning and evening practices and six evening swim meets throughout the season. Duties include assisting in the development of seasonal goals, workouts, and helping with set-up and clean-up of meets. The coach will also be able to teach private swim lessons upon request for pool members.
Candidates should be at least 17 years old, with competitive swimming experience; strong communications and organizational skills; interest and ability to work with children and have the ability to work with swimmers of all levels. Candidates should have the following certificates by start of job: American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard training, CPR, and First Aid. Salary will reflect experience.
